Q: First things first…if someone asked you why you’re a hairstylist, how would you answer?
A:  Because I love it…I love to take on anything, but especially hair, and actualize its inner and obvious (to me) beauty. I love being a solution-maker for all of my clients by showing them something they didn’t know before, even if it’s just a new way to part or a cute braid. Mostly I love the connectedness of it. To have that time to connect one-on-one with someone and give them an experience that makes them feel like the best version of themselves is amazing and precious to me.

Q: Where do you find your inspiration? How do you keep it fresh?
A:  Everywhere, magazines, videos, movies, art, other people. I am always looking to 'up the ante', be the brave one that will help my clients stay fresh.

Q: Animal person? Yes/No? Explain!
A:  I think anyone who knows me would say, yes! I have 3 pooches, 1 cat, and 11 chickens…I am still trying to convince my husband to get a goat.

Q: Besides the art of hairstyling, what else do you like to do in your freetime?
A:  I love spending time with my family. Hikes or even just a good dog park. I am always doing crafty projects at home, but most of all I love to travel with my fam.

Q: Tell us the funniest hair story you have had in your experience.
A:  Hmm…The best one would be the first onsite wedding I ever did. I was young so I didn’t know that it is always best to meet your bride before hand and do a run-thru. I showed up at her house to do her and her daughter's hair, and was quickly shown to a back bedroom where she waited. At first all was good but she seemed to be getting very antsy…next thing I know she is asking me if I would give her an honest opinion on something she got for her wedding..I said yes of course thinking it was clothing like shoes or earrings or something. She proceeded to take off ALL of her clothing to show me the new boob job she got for her new husband! I just shook my head yes and quickly finished her hair. Obviously I never saw her again after that, but it sure made my first wedding memorable…
