Q+A Session

Q: First things first…if someone asked you why you’re a hairstylist, how would you answer?
A:  I always knew I wanted to be a stylist. There was never anything else for me. I love how creative I’m able to be and all the amazing people I get to connect with. I can’t imagine doing anything else!

Q: Where do you find your inspiration? How do you keep it fresh?
A:  I love to pay attention to what happens at New York Fashion Week to see what the trends will be for the upcoming year. I’m constantly perusing Instagram to follow every stylist I can find and I get a lot of inspiration from the people around me, including stylists I work with
and people I see while exploring the city.

Q: Animal person? Yes/No? Explain!
A:  Yes! I have a 4 year old lab/beagle rescue dog and a 14 year old calico cat. I’d have more if I lived in something larger than an apartment.

Q: Besides the art of hairstyling, what else do you like to do in your freetime?
A:  I love CrossFit! I also really enjoy live music and traveling to see concerts and music festivals. I’m a voracious reader, and if it happens
to be a rainy day I can power through an entire book in just a few hours. I’ve spent a lot of time taking dance lessons, and my favorites
are Lindy hop, East Coast swing, and Two step. I also love watching sci-fi and action movies. The more explosions, the better!

Q: Tell us the funniest hair story you have had in your experience.
A:  I once had a client take a screen shot of a zombie in a zombie movie. She asked me to cut her hair just like it. That was a first for me!
