Balayage Will Help You Rise Above The Crowd

Like many salon professionals, you may have heard about Balayage for months or even years now, and realize you need to get up to speed on this technique to improve your reputation and grow a higher paying client base.

What is Balayage?

Balayage is a hair painting technique used to highlight the hair by painting color or lightener directly onto the hair, creating a graduated, blended effect. The word Balayage comes from a French word meaning “sweeping” or, “to sweep”.

Why Balayage?

Balayage creates a beautiful, blended, sun-kissed look that traditional foiling can not.

The technique can take time to master, however once achieved, it can be used to create many kinds of looks from an soft sombre, to a more dramatic blonde. Although traditional foiling still has its place, the look of foils can be very precise and less blended than balayage. Balayage can create both dramatic looks as well as subtle changes which is why it is so popular and versatile.

Why Balayage for Your Clients?

Balayage provides a more natural, easier to maintain sun-kissed look for your clients.

It’s a highlighting technique where the lighteners are painted on to create a graduated, natural-looking effect. Dark pieces are left on the bottom to create dimension and a more natural look.
This technique looks like natural sun-kissed highlights throughout the hair. The transition is more natural and it is less maintenance than an ombre or other hair coloring techniques.

Why Balayage for You?

Be able to see those Pinterest pictures and know exactly how to achieve the same look for each client.  By adding Balayage to your capabilities, you will attract new customers who rave about their hair and spread the word leading to more repeat and referral clients who stop asking “how much?”.

Combine a balayage and hair extension class and learn to make clients look even more fabulous.
